Reporting with CNN

Five days before leaving for Ankara, Turkey to compete in the Deaf Football World Championships (Deaf World Cup), I found out we did not have uniforms to wear for our games. Harnessing the power of social media, I tweeted about our cause. Through the support and retweets, I somehow caught the attention of Soledad O'Brien, a respected journalist for CNN. She gave me the opportunity to report for the team and this is the result.

My first reporting stint with CNN began when sharing the news of USA's 8-0 defeat over Germany.

We appeared once more on Soledad O'Brien's Starting Point on CNN to announce and celebrate our victory over Russia for the Deaf World Cup.
